Who We Are
Soul Circle is a volunteer group who raise funds, support and awareness for various community-based organisations in Cape Town. Our group was formed in 2013. We aim to use our skills,networks and contacts from all areas of life – from the corporate world to school PTAs – to add value to society.
Soul Circle was founded by Celia Falkenberg, co-director of Creativity Wake-Up.

Soul Circle hosts events to raise funds and create awareness for various NGO's and charities. We usually work with NGO's that our team members are involved in or support.
2022
Thembalitsha Foundation
Thembalitsha is a non profit organisation that assists with the development and growth in lives of those in need giving them hope.
Agape Educare is one of Thembalitsha's Early Childhood Education centres. It provides education and loving care. It is situated in Zola, Nomzamo catering for the local community. It provides an opportunity for children to receive a solid educational foundation.

2020 - 2021
Helderberg Hospital
During the Covid Pandemic, we our Soul Circle team supported our local public hospital with various project such as care packs for nursing staff, coffee and refreshment services for outpatients, water bottles and sanitisers for patients and banners and community gatherings to encourage and thank all the hospital staff.

2019
St Joseph's Home
Located in Montana, Cape Town, St Joseph’s is a non-profit paediatric intermediate care facility providing post-acute palliative, restorative, rehabilitation and respite care. They serve severely vulnerable communities and act as a bridge between acute care in hospital and the patient going home.
The 175-bed facility offers the infrastructure, expertise, compassion, support and care to holistically treat and rehabilitate children through a multidisciplinary approach of 24-hour nursing care and rehabilitation. St Joseph's Home was established over 80 years ago.

Helderberg Hospice
Helderberg Hospice plays a very important role in the Helderberg Community. Helderberg Hospice promotes ‘life’. When anyone is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, every day is important – to be lived to the full, and wherever possible, free from distressing symptoms. ‘Quality of life’ is a precious gift for patients and their loved ones. Helderberg Hospice provided invaluable assistance here.
Soul Circle participated in this fundraising event, entering two teams in the Cycle for Life event.

2016
Masikhule
Masikhule is a social impact organisation that trains educators in marginalised communities in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and early learning skills.
Their theme-based Early Learning Program for 2 to 5 year olds is key to this. Masikhule empowers, mentors and guides community-based Early Learning Centres towards registration and successful independence.
Over 2 000 children from birth to 5 years of age are educated and nurtured in these pre-schools each year, providing them with a sound early learning program and the best start in life.

Mama Themba, Thembalitsha Foundation
Mama Themba quips vulnerable mothers to nurture new life.
Located in the Helderberg and Stellenbosch districts of the Western Cape, Mama Themba offers supplemental education and support services to new mothers with incredibly limited resources.

2014
Agape Educare, Tembalitsha Foundation
Agape Educare aims to contribute to meeting a critical community need – providing essential Early Childhood Development for children who would otherwise not receive adequate foundation essentials in education.
This Soul Circle function helped Agape to launch a feeding scheme to provide vulnerable children with two meals a day at school.
