Stephen McGown is Al-Qaeda's longest-held captive. He was seized in Mali, in 2011 and held for ransom by militant extremists. With nothing but the clothes on his back, his creativity, and a positive attitude, Stephen managed to survive the harsh desert conditions, avoid being killed by his captors, and learn about true freedom, before being released in 2017.
