Creativity is a way of thinking, a way of being. It empowers problem solving and envisioning new possibilities. It’s a mindset and a skillset that is often suppressed or underdeveloped.
Do you need new life breathed into your creativity? Not sure?
If any of these statements sound familiar to you, then you could have an issue with dormant creativity:
- I’m stuck in a rut, I just can’t do it anymore, I’ve hit a wall
- I need fresh thinking my new business venture
- I find the same problems arising again and again
- I’m not living the life I hoped I would live
- I’m facing scary new responsibility and challenges at work
- I’m struggling to come up with ideas to solve a relational issue
- I want more from life, I feel I have more to give

"It was by a beautiful twist of fate that I had the privilege of attending this workshop - and it was everything and more than I expected.
Every exercise and each discussion revealed truths I'd forgotten or not yet discovered. I realised how much I censored myself, or failed to refuel my creativity tank. We learned techniques for reimagining ideas, finding new solutions to stubborn problems, and creating environments that cultivated creativity. The importance of joy, artist dates and productivity thieves were among the many new and necessary concepts that stayed in my mind long after the day was done. In addition to loving the workshop, I also met some truly lovely people and a creative community that I have continued to work with and be inspired by.
In essence: it was an invaluable day that has blossomed into so much more than these words could say."

The workshop was highly relevant to my journey. I’ve learned so much that I can apply to my life and that I can teach to those around me; my family, business associates and community. I’ve learned different ways to solve problems in my business and in myself. I’ve learned to unlock my brain to see things in a different, creative way and to apply these as a lifestyle.

Thank you so much for the course - I thoroughly enjoyed it especially the variety of things to do and read. It was all provided with such a great balance of light-heartedness with serious purpose, and head with heart. You really gave me what you had promised - a wake-up of my own creativity, ignored and dormant for a long time. "Creativity" has entered my headspace and I am loving doing the morning pages and writing haikus, and allowing, and even seeking and valuing, a different way of seeing things. There is lots of joy in all this too!

Thank you for such a wonderful course. I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. For months I have struggled finding motivation to work on my doctorate and thanks to this course I realise now that I have allowed a lot of bad habits and procrastinating to put me off my studies. Now that my creativity has awoken, I am excited and cannot wait to get going again. Thank you for arming me with so much positivity!

I loved today. For me the greatest thing was to land in a room, with each person having their own story and power in their own skin. So thank you, Nina and Celia, for triggering that and giving us that opportunity to just be, be free. I’m embarrassed that I haven’t connected enough with my creativity and that I’ve tended to do things that are comfortable so my challenge now is to turn everything on its head and to drive home a different way.I’m going to dress differently and do things differently.
BUT I'M NOT A CREATIVE TYPE!
Can’t draw a stick man? More of a numbers person? Allergic to hey-shoo-wow? To be clear, we don’t see creativity as artistry, craft work or the ability to draw. What we are talking about is your creative intelligence.
A definition that we like to work with is: Creativity is the use of imagination to create something novel and useful. It is a mindset and skillset that can be developed with deliberate effort. It’s not magic. It’s not a born-with-or-not talent. It’s not fixed. We know this because we all had it in spades as children. Then industrial training in single answer solutions from Grade 1 upwards taught most of us to fear failure and to stop silly experimenting.
Everyone is able to think creatively (including you, yes you – the one reading this.) And, what’s more, we can all become more creative than we already are. The fun fact is that creativity seems to be limitless – the more we use the more we have.
